General Manager of Operations: "Uncertainty in Industry Increases Ahead of US Presidential Election... We Will Proactively Assess the Impact"
Jung In-kyo, Head of the Trade Negotiations Office at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, stated on the 17th, "The government must proactively examine the impacts of various scenarios following the U.S. presidential election results and establish response strategies to alleviate industry concerns."
On the same day, Jung presided over a meeting at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Seoul to review trade issues and responses, saying, "With the U.S. presidential election on November 5 approaching, uncertainty within the industry regarding changes in U.S. foreign policy based on the election outcome is increasing."
The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy has been regularly communicating with major industries, research institutions, and private experts to discuss the impacts and response directions according to various U.S. election scenarios.
