Cooperation on Firefly Floating Offshore Wind Power Plant Project
Doosan Enerbility announced on the 15th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for business cooperation on the 'Firefly Floating Offshore Wind Power Complex' project in Ulsan with global wind turbine manufacturer Siemens Gamesa and Norwegian state-owned energy company Equinor.
The signing ceremony held on the 15th at Doosan Enerbility's Changwon headquarters was attended by Son Seung-woo, Head of Doosan Enerbility Power Service BG, Mark Becker, Head of Siemens Gamesa Offshore Wind Division, and Ingun Svegorden, Senior Vice President of Equinor Asia-Pacific, among other officials.
On the 15th, at Doosan Enerbility's Changwon headquarters, Seungwoo Son, Head of Doosan Enerbility Power Service BG (center), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on business cooperation for the Ulsan 'Firefly Floating Offshore Wind Power Complex' project with Mark Becker, Head of Siemens Gamesa Offshore Wind Division (left), and Ingunn Svegorden, Senior Vice President of Equinor Asia-Pacific.

Through this agreement, the three companies plan to collaborate on the development of the 750MW-scale Firefly floating offshore wind power complex project being promoted by Equinor in the Ulsan region. Once the project is confirmed, Siemens Gamesa's 15MW-class large wind turbines will be introduced, and the key equipment, nacelles, will be assembled and supplied at Doosan Enerbility's Changwon wind power factory.
