Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education is conducting an in-depth training program for school violence investigation officers from the 14th to the 17th to strengthen communication with school sites and enhance the completeness of case investigations.
The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education (Superintendent Lim Tae-hee) will operate an in-depth training program for school violence dedicated investigators from the 14th to the 17th to strengthen communication with school sites and enhance the completeness of case investigations.
The school violence dedicated investigator system can be established when understanding the context and background of the school site, such as ▲differences by school level ▲student characteristics by developmental stage ▲cultural differences by school.
Also, when there is prior understanding of students and the school site, systematic case investigations based on context can be conducted.
The Provincial Office of Education prepared this training to increase the investigators' understanding of the school site and to enhance the completeness of investigation reports based on context and background.
Considering the voluntary participation and accessibility of investigators, the training is conducted in four regional zones, with about 530 investigators and staff members attending.
This training included lectures on case investigation and report writing from the perspective of field teachers, and practical exercises such as content analysis, setting investigation methods, and report writing based on actual cases.
During the practical exercises, reports were written based on pre-prepared materials analyzing frequently occurring types of school violence.
Following this, active discussions and debates were held with educational support office school violence supervisors and members of the investigator field advisory group to produce highly complete reports.
