Ulsan Office of Education Achieves Best-Ever Results at National Commercial Skills Competition
Two Ministry of Education Awards, 3 Gold, 3 Silver, 3 Bronze
44 Students from 3 Vocational High Schools in Commercial Sector Compete in 9 Fields
Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Chun Changsu) set a new record by winning a total of 11 medals?including two Minister of Education Awards, three gold, three silver, and three bronze?at the 14th National Commercial Skills Competition held in Jeju from the 7th to the 9th.
This is the first time Ulsan has won two Minister of Education Awards. Compared to the seven medals won in both 2022 and 2023, this marks the highest achievement in its history.
Joo Hyunseo from Ulsan Girls’ Commercial High School received the Minister of Education Award for placing first nationwide in the individual Finance Practice category, while Ulsan Life Science High School earned the same honor in the group Competition Promotion Creator category, elevating Ulsan’s reputation.
Lee Yedam from Ulsan Girls’ Commercial High School, Han Junseo and Kim Sigyo from Ulsan Commercial High School each won gold medals in the Entrepreneurship Practice category, earning recognition for their entrepreneurial ideas and skills.
Kim Mingyu from Ulsan Commercial High School (Entrepreneurship Practice), Choi Jian from Ulsan Girls’ Commercial High School (Finance Practice), and Lee Seohyun from Ulsan Life Science High School (Economics Golden Bell) each received silver medals.
Additionally, Bae Jiwon from Ulsan Girls’ Commercial High School (Accounting Practice), Lee Ain from Ulsan Life Science High School (Economics Golden Bell), and Ulsan Life Science High School (Entrepreneurship Club Expo) each won bronze medals, performing admirably.
This year’s National Commercial Skills Competition, hosted by Jeju Special Self-Governing Provincial Office of Education, saw 44 students from three vocational high schools in the commercial field?Ulsan Girls’ Commercial High School, Ulsan Commercial High School, and Ulsan Life Science High School?participate.
At this competition, 33 Ulsan students competed in seven individual categories including Finance Practice, Accounting Practice, and Entrepreneurship Practice, while 11 students participated in two group categories: Competition Promotion Creator and Entrepreneurship Club Expo, showcasing their skills.
