30 student artists from Konkuk University and Sejong University to exhibit a total of 52 works
'Painting Canvas Zone' where visitors can create art pieces themselves will also be operated
Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) will hold the 'Konkuk University-Sejong University Joint Art Exhibition' for two days from the 27th to the 28th at the Open Stage area of Children's Grand Park.
This joint art exhibition was organized to showcase the vibrant and creative artistic talents of student artists to local residents through cultural exchange between universities.
In particular, the district signed a business agreement with the student councils of the two universities last April and operated a festival planning team to create the ‘2024 Cheongchundaero’ festival, which can be enjoyed together with the local community.
The art exhibition features 30 students from Konkuk University's Department of Contemporary Art and the exhibition planning club ‘Coverly’, as well as Sejong University's Departments of Painting, Fashion Design, Design Innovation, and Cartoon Animation Technology. A total of 52 works will be displayed along the music fountain from the main gate of Children's Grand Park, delighting visitors' eyes.
Additionally, Gwangjin-gu will operate a ‘Painting Canvas Zone’ where visitors can create art themselves. Local residents and visitors alike can freely paint on a large partition wall using prepared acrylic paints, sharing artistic experiences with young people.
Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, “We have prepared a cultural and artistic exchange venue where the local community and universities can enjoy together,” adding, “We hope many people visit the Konkuk University-Sejong University Joint Art Exhibition to appreciate the high-quality works of student artists and experience fresh enjoyment.”
