Accident Occurs on Road Without Crosswalk

At around 8:14 PM on the 14th, a man in his 30s, Mr. A, was hit and killed by a Mohave vehicle driven by the temple chief monk, Mr. B, in Yanggok-ri, Mungwang-myeon, Goesan-gun, Chungbuk.
Mr. A, who lived in Seoul, was visiting his father in his hometown of Goesan when the accident occurred.
The accident happened on a one-way single-lane road without a crosswalk, and it was confirmed that Mr. B was neither under the influence of alcohol nor driving without a license.
The police believe the accident occurred because Mr. B failed to notice Mr. A in time, and Mr. B has been booked on charges of fatal injury under the Special Act on the Treatment of Traffic Accidents.
