The average business age of Inno-Biz companies is 19 years, with about 79% still managed by their founders, and 42% of all CEOs are aged 60 or older, making systematic succession planning urgently needed. Accordingly, the association newly launched the "1st Next-Generation CEO Academy" in April this year, operating it in an action-learning format where participants present and discuss real-world problems they face in their work alongside lectures to find solutions.

Godonghwan, CEO of Jeil FA Co., Ltd., who completed the first course, said, "As a second-generation business owner, this program was like an oasis in the middle of a desert, offering new paths at a time when I was contemplating learning, communication, and other changes."

Park Kyung-geun, manager at Ilgwang Co., Ltd., shared, "It was a time to receive new energy for life through fellow participants, and in applying what I learned directly to my work after completion, I feel that if I had encountered this program earlier, both I and my company could have grown much more."

With such high satisfaction among graduates and continuous requests from Inno-Biz companies and members, the association has prepared the "2nd Next-Generation CEO Academy" additionally.

The main training contents include △Management Strategy Module (crisis management, motivation, organizational culture formation, communication, etc.), △Leadership Module (practical solutions applicable to companies), △Innovative Growth Module (inter-company cooperative R&D, M&A, digital transformation, and new leaps), △Networking Module (providing opportunities to share mutual understanding and camaraderie among participants), and a generational empathy training session with founders.

Jung Kwang-cheon, chairman of the Inno-Biz Association, said, "We prepared this training course to provide answers to the difficulties of continuing second-generation management amid rapidly changing economic environments such as AI and digital transformation," adding, "We hope that next-generation leaders who have inherited the founders' DNA will create a future vision for their companies' new leaps."

Meanwhile, the 2nd Inno-Biz Next-Generation CEO Academy will be held every Thursday from 2 PM to 6 PM for 12 weeks starting on the 26th, with about 40 participants selected. For detailed information, please refer to the notices on the association’s website or contact the association directly.
