Boy group NCT's Taeil has been accused of a sex crime and has withdrawn from the team.
On the 28th, SM Entertainment stated, "We recently confirmed that Taeil has been accused in a criminal case related to a sex crime," and added, "While verifying the facts regarding this matter, we recognized the seriousness of the issue and decided that he could no longer continue team activities. After discussing with Taeil, we decided on his withdrawal from the team."
SM reported that Taeil is currently cooperating sincerely with the police investigation.
SM said, "We will provide additional statements depending on the progress of the investigation," and bowed deeply, apologizing, "We sincerely apologize for the controversy caused by our artist."
