Turning College Students' Ideas into Social Value... Hyundai Mobis 'Impact Idea Challenge'
Awarding a Total Prize of 10 Million Won... Also Under Review for Actual Business Implementation
Hyundai Mobis held an event where university students and job seekers proposed corporate social value (CSV) ideas that can be applied to real businesses.
On the 14th, Hyundai Mobis announced that it had held the '2024 Impact Idea Challenge' the day before at Boco Seoul in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Some ideas will be reviewed as actual businesses through pilot operations.
Among more than 500 applicants, 61 finalists (12 teams) conducted projects for about three weeks starting last month. At the finals held the day before, the projects were presented, and final evaluations and awards were given based on feedback from judges and industry mentors.
As a result of the final evaluation, the grand prize was awarded to a team that proposed a system using sensors to detect vehicle flooding, share the location, and help passengers escape. Other awards included technologies such as enhancing pedestrian nighttime visibility around bus stops using LEDs and QR codes.
