A husband in his 50s who attempted to set fire to his home during a marital dispute was sentenced to a suspended prison term.
On the 31st, Yonhap News reported, "The Ulsan District Court Criminal Division 11 (Chief Judge Lee Daero) sentenced husband A, who was tried for attempted arson of a residential building, to two years in prison with a three-year suspension."
A is accused of laying down tissue paper and setting it on fire at his home in Ulsan in January of this year. The fire did not spread significantly due to the efforts of his teenage child who was inside the house at the time. It is known that A committed the act after drinking and having an argument with his wife, losing control of his emotions.
