Suwon City Appoints 8 New Members to the Regulatory Reform Committee

View original imageThe city of Suwon in Gyeonggi Province has appointed eight new members to its Regulatory Reform Committee. The term of office is two years, with the possibility of one renewal.
On the 15th, Suwon City announced on the 16th that it had delivered appointment letters to regulatory experts from various fields, including lawyers, university professors, research fellows from the Suwon City Policy Research Institute, and representatives of civic groups.
The Regulatory Reform Committee, chaired by the First Deputy Mayor of Suwon, consists of seven ex officio members and nine appointed members.
The Suwon Regulatory Reform Committee is responsible for ▲establishing comprehensive regulatory reform plans ▲reviewing newly established or strengthened regulations ▲providing advice on regulatory policies.

First Deputy Mayor Kim Hyun-soo said, "We appointed regulatory experts from various fields to hear diverse voices," adding, "I ask the committee members, who are closest to citizens' daily lives, to take the lead in eliminating unreasonable regulations that hinder business activities and residents' lives."
