Hong Sangsoo's New Film 'Suyucheon' Invited to Compete at Locarno Film Festival

Director Hong Sangsoo's new film "Suyucheon" has been invited to the international competition section of the 77th Locarno Film Festival, distributor Finecut announced on the 11th.
The Locarno Film Festival, held in Switzerland from the 7th to the 17th of next month, is the oldest film festival established in 1946, known for showcasing artistic and experimental auteur films. Director Hong has been invited to this festival for the fourth time, following his films "Our Sunhi" (2013, International Competition/Best Director Award), "Right Now, Wrong Then" (2015, International Competition/Golden Leopard Award), and "Hotel by the River" (2018, International Competition/Best Actor Award).

Hong's 32nd feature film "Suyucheon" stars actors Kim Minhee, Kwon Hae-hyo, Jo Yoonhee, and Ha Sungguk. Kim Minhee, who has been in a relationship with Director Hong for nine years since 2015, is also credited as the production manager. The film is scheduled for domestic release in the second half of the year.
