Yeonggwang-gun Launches Guidance Inspection and Training for 'Disabled Activity Support Workers'
"Beware of Simultaneous Imposition of Fines and Penalties for Potential Legal and Regulatory Violations"
Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do, has initiated supervision, inspection, and training for disability activity support workers to enhance the transparency and substance of the disability activity support project.
According to Yeonggwang-gun on the 29th, this training was attended by 161 activity support workers at three disability activity support provider institutions from the 10th to the 28th. The focus was on strengthening the professionalism and capabilities of the activity support workers to provide high-quality services to people with disabilities.
From the 10th to the 28th, Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do, undertook 'Guidance Inspection and Education for Disabled Activity Support Workers' to enhance the transparency and substance of the support project for disabled activity assistance.

The disability activity support provider institutions in Yeonggwang-gun are the Yeonggwang-gun Branch of the Korea Disabled Persons Association, Seongsim Home Care Senior Welfare Center, and Jeonnam Yeonggwang Regional Self-Support Center.
The main training topics included prevention of fraudulent claims and fostering positive communication between users and their guardians. Attention was also given to precautions and considerations when providing activity support benefits, improper billing practices, abnormal payments that violate payment principles, and qualification cancellation or suspension.

A Yeonggwang-gun official stated, "We are always grateful for the hard work of the activity support workers who do their best to support the social participation and independent living of people with disabilities," and added, "However, despite such efforts, if laws and regulations are unintentionally violated, fines and penalties may be imposed simultaneously," urging caution.
