Anseong-si Conducts Summer Season Livestock Product Hygiene Inspection
Anseong City in Gyeonggi Province will conduct hygiene inspections on livestock product sales businesses throughout July to prevent accidents related to spoilage and deterioration of livestock products during the summer season.
The inspection targets include 47 meat packaging processing businesses and 427 livestock product sales businesses. Two teams, consisting of relevant officials and honorary livestock product hygiene inspectors, will carry out the inspections.
The main inspection items are ▲ hygiene conditions of livestock product sales businesses ▲ expiration dates ▲ compliance with labeling standards ▲ storage conditions of frozen and refrigerated meat ▲ origin labeling ▲ traceability management ▲ operation and storage of self-hygiene management standards (SSOP) ▲ compliance by business operators ▲ and the appropriateness of personal hygiene management of other livestock product handlers.

The city plans to strictly punish violations that are serious or intentional illegal acts according to related regulations, including business suspension and license cancellation. An official from Anseong City stated, "Through hygiene inspections, we will strive to supply livestock products that consumers can purchase with confidence."
