Overtime and Heavy Workload with Low Salary Are Causes of Dissatisfaction
79.6% Are Preparing for a 'Quiet Job Change'
One out of every two MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z) office workers is currently dissatisfied with their assigned job duties, according to a survey.
On the 21st, the recruitment platform 'JobKorea' announced that this result came from a job satisfaction survey conducted on 209 MZ generation office workers. According to the survey, 49.3% of respondents said they were dissatisfied with their current job duties.
The jobs with the lowest job satisfaction were found to be 'Customer Consultation & Service' and 'Sales & Sales Management.' Among workers in these roles, 66.7% responded that they were dissatisfied with their jobs. Following these were ▲Finance & Accounting (62.5%) ▲Design (62.4%) ▲Production & Field Work (56.5%) in order of high job dissatisfaction.
The reasons for job dissatisfaction were reported as ▲too much workload including frequent overtime (31.1%) ▲low salary (30.1%) ▲unclear job vision (29.1%) ▲job different from dreams (25.2%) ▲boring repetitive tasks (17.5%) in descending order of response rate. When asked about plans to change jobs, respondents answered ▲Yes (50.5%) ▲No current plans but willing to change if a good offer comes (47.6%). Additionally, 79.6% said they were considering a job transition.
Conversely, the job with the highest satisfaction was 'Planning & Strategy.' Among respondents in this role, 72.7% said they were satisfied with their current job. This was followed by ▲Marketing & Public Relations (66.7%) ▲IT & Development (58.1%) in terms of high job satisfaction.
The reasons for job satisfaction included ▲good fit with aptitude (61.3%) ▲sense of achievement and fulfillment from work (42.5%) ▲comfortable work (21.7%) in order of high response rate.

A representative from JobKorea's AI matching service 'OnePick' said, "Recently, the number of MZ office workers quietly preparing to change jobs due to mismatched job conditions is increasing," adding, "There is a growing tendency to use AI matching services to match their job competencies and working conditions to increase the success rate of job changes."
