Sharing Fraud Information... Strengthening Technical Cooperation
LG Uplus announced on the 18th that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Financial Security Institute at LG Science Park in Magok, Gangseo-gu, Seoul, to prevent and respond to voice phishing.

View original imageAccordingly, the Financial Security Institute will share information obtained through the 'Phishing Site and Voice Phishing Malicious App Detection System' with LG Uplus in real time. Based on this information, LG Uplus will block access to phishing sites and distribution points of voice phishing malicious apps.
Additionally, the two organizations will share information on new types of voice phishing such as smishing and phone number interception, and strengthen technical cooperation in related fields.
The Financial Security Institute operates a 'Pan-Financial Sector Voice Phishing Fraud Information Sharing System' that shares related information in real time with specialized institutions in finance, public sector, telecommunications, and security to effectively respond to voice phishing. With this MOU, LG Uplus will also join this system.
