This work is a moon jar made of black and white porcelain that embodies the beauty of Korean tradition, and it will be exhibited on a rotating basis at community facilities within THE H complexes.
Recently, moon jars have been gaining attention as interior decor items. The round full-moon-shaped moon jar symbolizes 'bringing fortune and wealth,' and it maintains its elegant beauty over time.
Unlike typical moon jars, the 'THE H Healing Object' expresses THE H's identity of 'unwavering solidity' through straight lines using Korean techniques. In particular, the black porcelain is created by layering natural textures multiple times rather than having a smooth surface, evoking simplicity and elegance.
Artist Jeon, who collaborated with Hyundai Construction, is a traditional craft artist who reinterprets traditional ceramics with modern design. He has produced works that convey a Korean yet sophisticated feel through the naturalness of the surface and various unstructured patterns. Recently, he has been actively working, including operating a ceramic brand under his own name and being an artist featured in the official store of the Leeum Museum of Art.
