Jeong Yoo-jeong, who brutally murdered a peer she met through a tutoring application (app) and mutilated and abandoned the body, has been sentenced to life imprisonment.
On the 13th, the Supreme Court's 2nd Division (Presiding Justice Kim Sang-hwan) dismissed Jeong Yoo-jeong's appeal in the final trial for murder, corpse mutilation, and abandonment charges, confirming the original sentence of life imprisonment.

Jeong Yoo-jeong was indicted on charges of entering the home of a peer, Ms. A, in Geumjeong-gu, Busan, whom she met through the tutoring app, at around 5:40 p.m. on May 26 last year, killing Ms. A with a weapon and abandoning the body.
