Fukuoka Dogs' Busan Trip "Eoseoogae"
Tourism Organization and Japan's HIS Jointly Launch
Fukuoka~Busan Air Travel Package to Korea
Operated 7 Times Total Until November
The Korea Tourism Organization announced on the 11th that it jointly launched a dog-friendly travel package to Korea called "Wang! Korea (ワン!KOREA) in Busan 4 Days" with the major Japanese travel agency HIS on the 10th.
The product name "Wang! Korea" combines "Wangko," meaning puppy, with "Korea." It is the first dog-friendly travel package arriving in Busan by plane from Fukuoka, Japan, and will operate seven times until November.
Tourists and their dogs will visit major tourist attractions in Busan such as Gamcheon Culture Village, Blueline Park, and Haedong Yonggungsa Temple over three nights and four days. The first group is scheduled to arrive on August 23.
The Tourism Organization explained that last year, they operated a pilot dog-friendly travel package using a passenger ferry between Fukuoka and Busan, but many tourists were disappointed because the local stay period was short compared to the travel time.
This time, by using air travel, the local stay period was extended from two nights to three nights, and participants are expected to be more satisfied as they will stay at dog-friendly hotels and travel by dedicated buses.

Hong Seong-gi, head of the Korea Tourism Organization’s Fukuoka office, said, “Demand for overseas travel with dogs continues to increase in Japan, and these packages are sold at higher prices than regular travel products, so the added value is high. The organization plans to strengthen local marketing further to secure demand for dog-friendly overseas travel destinations.”
