The ASML Lab achieved outstanding results, with all Hanyang University researchers leading the studies as first authors and submitting the papers. These papers covered not only widely used key areas such as speech recognition, emotion recognition, and speaker recognition but also research on speech synthesis, acoustic synthesis, and noise processing using generative AI, which has attracted global attention.

Based on diverse research experience, the ASML Lab is currently engaged in industry-academia cooperation with Samsung Research, Samsung Electronics MX Division, Kim & Chang Law Firm, Hanwha Systems, and others.

Professor Jang said, “Having 13 papers from a single university lab accepted at ‘INTERSPEECH’ is a remarkable achievement in the highly competitive global field of speech AI. Even amid decreasing research and development (R&D) budgets, receiving industry-academia cooperation support from major companies enabled us to conduct foundational research essential for practical commercialization, which greatly contributed to producing excellent research outcomes.”
