A man in his 50s, Mr. A, who fatally punched his neighbor in a gosiwon, has been handed over to the prosecution.
On the 29th, the Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul announced that Mr. A was sent to prosecution under arrest on charges of murder for causing the death of a man in his 40s.
Mr. A is accused of repeatedly punching a man in his 40s, a neighboring resident, at a gosiwon in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, on the afternoon of the 18th, resulting in the victim's death.
During the police investigation, Mr. A reportedly stated that he usually had a bad relationship with the victim and claimed that "the victim was spreading bad rumors about me." It was also determined that he had been drinking but was not intoxicated.
Initially, Mr. A was arrested on charges of causing injury resulting in death, but the police changed the charge to murder, believing he had intent to kill, and arrested him on the 19th.
