The theme of this exhibition is 'Botanical Design.' It explores the relationship and applicability of plants and design in urban life. To alleviate the green thirst, elements and mechanisms of plants are reflected in design and expressed through fields such as environmental design, landscape design, spatial design, green design, and floral design.
Ryu Ju-hyung's spatial design work 'Neoseureureu' is a space where the campaign for the Earth, 'One Step, Two Steps,' takes place. The target site is Seoul Forest in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, and characters are used to attract the interest of many people. The main points of interest are what roles each space performs and how the key design elements, botanical and characters, are utilized.
Yoon Seo-yeon, Im Ye-na, and Choi Si-won's 'BuKu BuKu' is an environmental design work covering building exteriors, interiors, and landscape design for Gyenam Neighborhood Park in Yangcheon-gu, Seoul. The main design concept is the phenomenon of 'crown shyness.' This is where the upper parts of trees do not touch each other, maintaining a certain space and allowing sufficient sunlight to reach below, symbolizing a space of coexistence and consideration learned from trees.
