Ministry of Land and LH Propose at Industrial Complex Planning Pre-Consultation Meeting
"Request Close Cooperation with City in Traffic and Environmental Assessments"
On the 6th, Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province held a preliminary consultation meeting at the City Hall Vision Hall with related organizations such as the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) to establish the industrial complex plan for the Yongin I-dong and Namsa Advanced System Semiconductor National Industrial Complex, the city announced on the 7th.

The city explained that the meeting was arranged to ensure that the city's position on the plan is sufficiently reflected before LH submits the industrial complex plan approval application, and to shorten the consultation period during the permit process to develop the industrial complex as quickly as possible.
The consultation meeting was attended by Kim Min-tae, Director of the Industrial Location Policy Division at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport; Kim Myung-soo, Head of the Industrial Complex Division at LH; Hwang Jun-gi, the 2nd Vice Mayor of Yongin City; related public officials; and industry representatives participating in the industrial complex development.
At the meeting, the city requested a thorough review of road expansion, water supply measures, waste and wastewater treatment plans, and river management plans, and urged close cooperation with the city during traffic impact assessments and environmental impact assessments. The city also asked to expand channels for residents' opinions to smoothly resolve citizens' questions and complaints.

Vice Mayor Hwang said, "Yongin City will provide full support to develop the national industrial complex in the shortest possible time," and added, "We hope that the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and LH will actively accept the city's opinions."
