Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul (Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) is recruiting middle-aged workers to participate in the ‘4050 New Leap Internship Program’ in collaboration with selected local companies until the 14th of this month.
The ‘4050 New Leap Internship Program’ is a project that supports wages and other expenses for companies that newly hire middle-aged workers in their 40s and 50s. It aims to promote employment stability for the middle-aged generation, which is gradually increasing due to early retirement, and to provide work experience for reemployment.
Eight people will be recruited to work for nine months at six selected companies and non-profit organizations. The selected workers will be responsible for tasks in the job areas of the applying companies, such as construction administration, logistics, sales, and caregiving.
Applicants must be unemployed job seekers aged 40 to under 60 (based on the year of birth, from 1984 to 1965). The salary is based on this year’s Eunpyeong-gu living wage, with a monthly wage of 2,390,130 KRW (before tax) for a 40-hour workweek.
