Gwangju Bukbu Fire Station Urges Securing Fire Truck Exclusive Zones in Apartment Complexes
On the 14th, the Northern Fire Station of Gwangju Metropolitan City urged the securing of 'fire truck exclusive zones' in apartment complexes.
According to current law, apartment complexes that received approval for housing construction plans or applied for building permits after August 10, 2018, must establish fire truck exclusive zones.
If vehicles are parked in fire truck exclusive zones or if objects are stored or road markings are damaged, obstructing fire truck access, a fine of up to 1 million KRW will be imposed.
Seo Won-nam, Head of the 119 Disaster Response Division, stated, "Fire truck exclusive zones must be kept clear for smooth firefighting operations," and added, "We ask everyone to participate in securing fire truck exclusive zones for the safety of all our lives and property."
