The Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency is set to support smart manufacturing for local companies.
The agency announced that it will carry out a smart manufacturing support project in the Gwangju area from the 6th to the 29th of this month.
This project aims to realize regional decarbonization and improve productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction by upgrading outdated and inefficient production facilities of small and medium-sized manufacturing companies located in the Gwangju area.
The agency will select and support 10 small and medium-sized manufacturing companies (headquarters or factories) located within the jurisdiction this year.
Selected companies will receive up to 20 million KRW in support for process improvement and development costs, including production process analysis, establishment of production information systems, and diagnosis of causes of damage to manufacturing equipment and products. The agency has allocated a budget of 230 million KRW for this project.
