Gwangju Seo-gu to Recruit 'Youth District Participation Group' Until Next Month 15
Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Kim Ikang) is publicly recruiting the ‘9th Seo-gu Youth District Participation Group’ targeting elementary, middle, and high school students in the district until the 15th of next month.
According to Seo-gu on the 1st, the Youth District Participation Group is scheduled to start full-scale activities from April in collaboration with the Seo-gu Youth Training Center (Lala Center).
Participating students will receive various benefits such as awards for outstanding activities, recognition of volunteer hours, and opportunities to participate in various programs and educational activities.
In particular, Seo-gu plans to promote major projects including ▲education and application for the resident participation budget system from the perspective of youth ▲participation in district projects and policy proposals ▲capacity-building workshops (visit to the National Assembly) ▲operation of a policy basket ▲talk concerts with the Seo-gu Mayor.
Eligibility to apply is open to any youth aged 9 to 18 who reside in Seo-gu based on resident registration or attend a school located in Seo-gu.
To apply, applicants can download the application form from the Seo-gu Office website or the Seo-gu Youth Training Center ‘Lala Center’ website and submit it via email or visit the Seo-gu Office Children and Youth Division in person.
Park Chaeyoung, head of the Children and Youth Division, said, “We are recruiting participants to enable youth to actively participate in the policy and project implementation process of local governments, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of local youth policies and promoting their rights and interests. We will continue to accelerate the creation of a happy child-friendly city by promoting child-friendly policies reflecting ESG values.”
