Kim Kyung-yul "Democratic Party, please sue me for defamation"... Han Dong-hoon "That's why I was brought in"
Jeongdaehyeop, No 1.9 Billion Won Self-Funding Beyond 500 Million Won Government Subsidy
Excessive Construction Cost of 16 to 21 Million Won per Pyeong for Roh Moo-hyun Foundation
Kim Kyung-yul, an emergency committee member of the People Power Party, raised suspicions on the 1st regarding subsidies for the Korean Council for Justice and Remembrance for the Issues of Military Sexual Slavery by Japan (Jeongdaehyeop, the predecessor of the Justice Memory Foundation) and construction costs related to the Roh Moo-hyun Foundation, saying to the Democratic Party of Korea, "Please sue me for spreading false information."
At the emergency committee meeting held at the central party office in Yeouido on the morning of the same day, Kim said about Jeongdaehyeop, where independent lawmaker Yoon Mi-hyang served as chairperson, "They applied for 500 million won in government subsidies and said they would pay 1.9 billion won in self-funding, but looking at the bank account, only the 500 million won provided by the government has been deposited, and the 1.9 billion won in self-funding is not there."
He then said, "If we raise this issue with Han Dong-hoon, the emergency committee chairman, in a reckless manner, this has never been indicted in the prosecution's investigation," adding, "Even if we are criticized for the investigations of Yoon Mi-hyang and Lee Jae-myung being inadequate, given the media environment and circumstances at the time, is it possible that this could happen?"

He pointed out, "The Roh Moo-hyun Citizen Center and the Roh Moo-hyun Foundation Memorial Hall were built in two places: Jongno in Seoul and Bongha Village in Gimhae, with construction costs per pyeong (3.3 square meters) of 21 million won in Seoul and 16.6 million won in Gimhae," adding, "When the Roh Moo-hyun Citizen Center was being constructed in Jongno, high-end apartments in Gangnam, Seoul, including interior and various auxiliary facilities, cost 5 million won per pyeong. I still wonder how the cost of 21 million won per pyeong came about."
Kim emphasized, "Neither the Roh Moo-hyun Foundation nor the Democratic Party side has ever given me a responsible answer. They have repeatedly declared that they would sue me for defamation in various cases such as Daejang-dong and Seongnam FC, but I have deep doubts as to why they allow false information to continue to be spread only in this case." He added, "I earnestly request that the Democratic Party sue me for defamation by specifying false facts, preferably today."

After Kim's remarks, Chairman Han laughed and said, "I want to say that I brought him here to do such things." He then pointed out, "I said that the spirit of this election is to eliminate the privilege politics of the '86 generation, because these people have been exchanging favors among themselves for decades with their activist backgrounds, continuing privilege politics as vested interests, which has led to corruption."
