Ministry of Employment "Selected 8 Tasks for Employment Impact Assessment"
On the 31st, the Ministry of Employment and Labor held the Employment Policy Deliberation Committee and announced the selection of eight '2024 Employment Impact Assessment Projects.'
The Employment Impact Assessment analyzes the effects of policies from all ministries on the quantity and quality of employment and provides recommendations to make these policies more employment-friendly.
For each assessment project, a research team of three or more members is selected to conduct the evaluation over a period of more than six months.
This year, the study will focus on the impact of key policies on jobs, such as support for elderly employment participation, improvement of the dual labor market structure, and reduction of women's childbirth and childcare burdens.
The selected projects for this year include ▲ Employment impact of support systems for continued and new employment of the elderly ▲ Impact of support policies for win-win cooperation between primary and subcontractors on employment ▲ Impact of expanding public childcare service projects on employment ▲ Impact of introducing parental childcare leave systems on employment ▲ Impact of expanding workforce training in new industries and new technologies on the labor market ▲ Impact of nurse shift system improvement projects on employment ▲ Employment impact of the 'Green Bio Industry Development Strategy' ▲ Employment effects of the designation support for special areas responding to employment and industrial crises in Mokpo, Haenam, and Yeongam, Jeollanam-do.

The Ministry of Employment and Labor plans to select research teams for each project next month and announce the main evaluation results around the end of the year. The ministry stated, "The final evaluation results will be delivered to related ministries and used as basic data for policy improvement and system operation, and the action plans or progress of policy recommendations will be monitored."
