Kim Chang-soo, Chairman of F&F, Donates 5 Billion KRW of Personal Funds to Establish the 'Korea Institute for Business Management Convergence'
"Creating a Global 'Think Tank' to Spread Success Stories"
Kim Chang-soo, chairman of F&F Group, donated 5 billion KRW of his personal funds to establish the ‘Korean Corporate Management Convergence Research Institute’ at Yonsei University. The goal is to create a global think tank for research on Korean-style corporate management (K-Management).
The institute aims to systematically study the global success cases of Korean companies and support all Korean businesses entering the global market in achieving successful overseas operations. Although there is a K-wave across all industries?from automobiles and semiconductors as K-contents, to K-food, K-cosmetics, and K-fashion?there is a perception that Korean-style corporate management has a minimal presence. Therefore, the institute plans to produce global latecomers through in-depth and systematic research on successful cases of Korean management.
At the opening ceremony of the Korea Institute of Business Management Convergence held on the 8th, Kim Chang-su, Chairman of F&F, is delivering a congratulatory speech.

We aim to raise the status of Korea’s unique K-Management as Korean companies expand globally.”
Professor Kim Dong-hoon of Yonsei University, appointed as the inaugural director of the institute, expressed his ambition, saying, “Korean companies have combined deep insights into the global market with Korean sensibilities to create unprecedented new value. We will thoroughly identify, standardize, and document the success factors and characteristics of Korean companies so that these cases can be learned not only in academia but also in the field of global management.”
Kim, who previously served as dean of Yonsei University’s Graduate School of Business and currently holds the concurrent position of vice president for external affairs, plans to conduct research and academic exchanges on Korean corporate management models with professors from diverse fields such as business administration, economics, statistics, engineering, sociology, and history. The institute will also engage in publishing books and case studies on Korean corporate management, as well as providing education and consulting services.
