Landlord Couple Injured on Chest and Face
A tenant in his 50s who wielded a weapon at a landlord couple demanding overdue rent was arrested by the police.
According to the Geoje Police Station in Gyeongnam on the 5th, Mr. A is suspected of attempting to stab and kill the landlord couple, Mr. and Mrs. B, at a one-room apartment on Jangpyeong-ro in Geoje City around 9:30 PM on December 27 last year.
When the couple pressed for the overdue rent of the one-room apartment, Mr. A took a weapon he had prepared in advance and stabbed them multiple times.
Mr. B was taken to the hospital after being reported by another tenant, suffering injuries to his chest, and his spouse, Mrs. C, sustained injuries to her face, but both are reported to be in stable condition.
The police arrested Mr. A at the scene as a suspect in the act and confiscated the weapon used in the crime.

Considering evidence that Mr. A searched for weapons on the internet before the crime, the police judged it to be a premeditated crime and, after investigating whether there were additional offenses, detained and sent Mr. A to prosecution on the 4th.
