Chin Myung An Min-seok: "Lee Jae-myung Attack Makes Lee Nak-yeon New Party Impossible"
"The New Party by Lee Nak-yeon is Mainly Against Lee Jae-myung... No Agenda"
Lee Nak-yeon "Sincerely Wishes Lee Jae-myung a Speedy Recovery"
Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, was attacked with a weapon by a man in his 60s during his visit to Busan on the 2nd. Regarding this, fellow party member Ahn Min-seok predicted, "This will be a major turning point that could shake the political scene," and said, "Former leader Lee Nak-yeon's new party has become impossible."
Ahn, who is classified as pro-Lee Jae-myung, appeared on JTBC's YouTube live show 'Genre Only Yeouido' that day and said, "I feel regretful that (former leader Lee Nak-yeon) did not say he would give up on forming a new party because of this incident."
He continued, "The justification for Lee Nak-yeon's new party is anti-Lee Jae-myung, with no national or social agenda. It is solely because they dislike Lee Jae-myung and cannot agree with him that they want to take a third path. But can they continue to attack Lee Jae-myung, who is still bedridden and undergoing surgery?" he pointed out.

He also added, "(This incident) should be taken as a justification and an opportunity to give up on the new party," and "If they still push forward recklessly with the new party, there is no other way to describe it than as greed."
Earlier, former leader Lee Nak-yeon wrote on his Facebook regarding the attack on Lee Jae-myung, "I cannot suppress my shock and anger," and "I sincerely hope that Lee's injuries are not severe and that he recovers quickly."
