Park Ji-won "Lee Nak-yeon will not be able to form a party... Lee Jae-myung is promoting 'Myeong-Nak meeting'"
Former Democratic Party leader Lee Nak-yeon has been criticizing the 'Lee Jae-myung leadership system' day after day, sparking rumors of a 'Lee Nak-yeon new party.' Meanwhile, former National Intelligence Service Director Park Ji-won expressed a negative outlook on the new party.

As former leader Lee has been sharpening his stance against Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myung, the 'Lee Nak-yeon new party' theory has been rapidly gaining traction. Former leader Lee has left the possibility open, saying, "It shouldn't be dragged on too long; I will speak when the time comes."
However, former NIS Director Park said that forming a new party would be "denying oneself," and mentioned that leader Lee Jae-myung is showing willingness to communicate with former leader Lee. Regarding whether the so-called 'Myeong-Nak meeting (Lee Jae-myung - Lee Nak-yeon meeting)' will take place, he said, "I have called and texted leader Lee, telling him to persuade former leader Lee," and added, "he said he would do it," concluding, "They are communicating. They are probably pushing for the (Myeong-Nak) meeting now."
Former leader Lee is also building consensus by meeting with former prime ministers. Former NIS Director Park said, "He met with former Prime Ministers Chung Sye-kyun and Kim Boo-kyum, as well as four lawmakers from the Principles and Common Sense faction, persuading them, and told them to continue persuading other lawmakers and communicate with everyone," recommending leader Lee to communicate with non-Myeong faction figures.

Leader Lee recently deleted the petition to expel former leader Lee, appearing to extend an olive branch to him. Former NIS Director Park raised his voice, saying that former leader Lee's side should also respond positively to leader Lee's efforts. He said, "If former leader Lee and the five pro-approval members also withdraw the expulsion motions and say they will not discipline, those people should respond sincerely and not complain. That should not happen."
