Chung-Ang University and 18 Universities in Central Asia Hold 'Korean Studies Week'

Chung-Ang University hosted the '5th Korean Studies Week' event with 18 universities from five countries including Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, and Georgia. Korean Studies Week is held annually to nurture the next generation of scholars and promote academic exchange. This event featured various programs such as the Korean Studies Olympiad, which measures Korean speaking skills, academic conferences, and special lectures. Chung-Ang University plans to establish diverse cooperative systems with Central Asian universities, including joint curriculum development and student exchanges.

View original imageSookmyung Women’s University conducted the '2nd Sookmyung-Minerva Exchange Program' with the globally innovative Minerva Schools. This program, held over three months since last September, involved 120 Minerva students from 48 countries worldwide and 56 students from Sookmyung Women’s University. Minerva students rotate cities each semester to pursue their studies, and among domestic universities, Sookmyung Women’s University is the only official partner. The program included special lectures on Korean democracy, economic development, environmental policies, and various cultural experience programs.
