Korean Air to Open Office Space Near Incheon Airport Terminal 2
Opening in the First Half of 2026
Korean Air announced on the 30th that it will build a new Incheon Operations Center (IOC) near Terminal 2 (T2) of Incheon International Airport. The company signed an agreement with Incheon International Airport Corporation reflecting this plan. The T2 IOC will be constructed in the Second International Business District with two basement floors, five above-ground floors, and a total floor area of 26,011㎡.
Since relocating to T2 in 2018, Korean Air has used the briefing rooms at the Incheon Passenger Service Branch within T2 and the IOC at the Incheon International Medical Center near Terminal 1 (T1) as briefing rooms and offices for cabin and flight crew. However, these spaces were limited in size and the distance to T2 was inconvenient.
The T2 IOC will be accessible within 5 minutes by shuttle bus to T2. The first floor will be designated for cabin crew, and the second floor for flight crew, optimizing movement flow. Separate briefing rooms, training rooms, and meeting rooms will be provided. Employee convenience facilities such as a coffee lounge, cafeteria, and convenience store are also planned. A walking path and garden will be created on the rooftop.
Designed as an eco-friendly building in line with ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management principles, solar panels will be installed on the rooftop and geothermal power facilities in the basement to utilize renewable energy for internal power. Green spaces will be created in indoor rest areas and parts of the rooftop, aiming to achieve an excellent grade in green building certification and a 1++ rating in building energy efficiency.
