"North Korea's Satellite Launch"... ROK-US-Japan Foreign Ministers Strongly Condemn "Causing Regional Instability"
The foreign ministers of South Korea, the United States, and Japan on the 24th (local time) stated that North Korea's military reconnaissance satellite launch "causes regional instability" and "strongly condemned" it.
U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, South Korean Foreign Minister Park Jin, and Japanese Foreign Minister Kamikawa Yoko held a phone call on the day to discuss North Korea's satellite launch, which violates multiple United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions, and expressed this position, the State Department said in a press release.
The three ministers confirmed during the call that they will continue close trilateral consultations in accordance with the spirit of Camp David to respond to North Korea's irresponsible and illegal actions.
They also emphasized that the international community, including UNSC member states, must work together to cut off funding sources for North Korea's illegal weapons of mass destruction (WMD) and ballistic missile programs and to prevent North Korea's procurement activities.
