Ulsan Fire Headquarters Holds 9th Competition
Three Outstanding Participants Selected, Ulsan Mayor's Award Presented
The first fire safety instructor competition in Ulsan to include a hearing-impaired participant in the evaluation will be held.
The Ulsan Fire Headquarters (Chief Lee Jae-soon) announced on the 23rd at 2 p.m. that the 9th Fire Safety Instructor Competition will take place at the City Council 1st floor Citizen Hall.
Fire safety instructors are leaders who hold professional qualifications such as fire safety educator certificates and are responsible for various fire drills and training.
In this competition, seven fire safety instructors representing each fire station and experience center will compete on various topics related to daily safety for the hearing-impaired.
For the first time, the judging panel will include a hearing-impaired audience evaluation group along with three external experts who will comprehensively assess lecture delivery methods, attitude, and teaching skills to select the winners.
The top three performers will receive awards from the Ulsan Mayor. The grand prize winner will represent Ulsan at the national competition hosted by the National Fire Agency next year.
Lee Jae-soon, Chief of Ulsan Fire Headquarters, said, “It is a meaningful occasion as hearing-impaired individuals participate as audience evaluators for the first time to select capable instructors in the field of daily safety for the hearing-impaired,” adding, “We will ensure that various citizens participate in fire policies to create a ‘Safe Ulsan Together.’”
