‘Oroji Studio’, Leading the Way in Enhancing Digital Skills for Seniors
Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, is attracting attention as the local social enterprise ‘Oroji Studio’ takes the lead in bridging the digital divide by providing various social services, including smart device education for seniors aged 60 and above.
‘Oroji Studio’ is a social enterprise located in Dong-gu with the goal of “providing digital platform education not available in formal education to vulnerable groups.”
It realizes social value by promoting communication between generations in the local community through education that enhances seniors’ capabilities with smart devices (smartphones, kiosks, etc.).
Throughout this year, it has provided smartphone usage education services to over 80 people across six classes in a total of 38 sessions, covering topics such as smartphone communication, smartphone photography and editing, smart digital video editing, transportation usage, and kiosk operation.
