Suwon City Provides On-Site Consulting for Restaurants Around Hwaseong Tourist Zone
Gyeonggi Suwon City will conduct visit consulting for restaurants in Suwon Hwaseong, designated as a tourist special zone.
View original imageThe city of Suwon in Gyeonggi Province will conduct hygiene education and on-site consulting for general restaurants in the Suwon Hwaseong area, designated as a tourist special zone, until the 21st of this month.
On the 8th, Suwon City announced that it has organized two teams, including consumer food hygiene inspectors, to provide hygiene education and on-site consulting to 99 general restaurants in the Suwon Hwaseong area.
Using a bacterial measuring device (ATP), contamination levels of cooks' hands and cutting boards will be measured and communicated, and education on kitchen, ingredient, and food utensil management according to the Food Sanitation Act will be provided.
Additionally, education on improving food culture will be offered, including ▲using personal tableware ▲serving food individually ▲hygienic management of spoons and chopsticks ▲practicing low-salt and low-sugar diets ▲and avoiding the use of disposable products.
Suwon City provided the first round of hygiene education and consulting in June and plans to support hygiene supplies in November.

A Suwon City official stated, "By establishing the image of Suwon Hwaseong tourist special zone as having a high level of hygiene for both domestic and international tourists and raising external awareness, more tourists will visit."
