MFDS Holds Workshop on Korean Pharmacopoeia Testing Methods
The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety announced on the 7th that it held the "Korean Pharmacopoeia Test Method Workshop" to explain the contents of the Korean Pharmacopoeia revision draft, which was administratively announced on August 30. The Korean Pharmacopoeia is a drug standard book established to properly manage the properties, conditions, quality, and storage methods of pharmaceuticals and related products.
At the workshop, the future revision directions for international harmonization of the Korean Pharmacopoeia were introduced. Detailed explanations by experts were also provided on six test methods. In particular, active discussions were held on the microbial limit test method and the 4-aminophenol test method in acetaminophen formulations. On that day, more than 200 participants from about 110 domestic pharmaceutical companies and testing institutions attended.
