Park Won-seok "Justice Party's Transition to Emergency Committee? Just a Deceptive Change of Packaging"
Ahead of next year's general election, former Justice Party lawmaker Park Won-seok, who leads the Alternative New Party members within the Justice Party, criticized the Justice Party leadership's decision on the 6th to resign en masse and transition to an emergency committee system promoting an electoral alliance party as "deceptive repackaging."
On the same day, Park posted on his social media, stating, "Regardless of support or opposition, the push for an electoral alliance party is nothing more than an inadequate short-term response to the general election," expressing his criticism.
On that day, Justice Party leader Lee Jeong-mi announced the promotion of an 'electoral alliance party' encompassing third political forces, including the Green Party, progressive parties, labor forces, and regional party promotion groups, and announced the resignation of the entire leadership.
However, former lawmaker Park expressed dissatisfaction with this decision, saying, "We were in a situation where even election evaluations could not be made, so can party members and citizens truly accept the sudden proposal of an electoral alliance party with the Green Party as a plan for innovative re-founding?"
He added, "The hasty push for an electoral alliance party, driven by impatience and anxiety to 'do something,' lacks both justification and practical benefit and will ultimately be self-defeating," and said, "An emergency committee system without a change in policy is merely deceptive repackaging."
Regarding the emergency committee, he expressed distrust, saying, "Until the general election, the party will effectively remain leaderless, and no one will take responsibility. There is no expectation for the emergency committee."

He concluded, "Instead of the wrong path of an electoral alliance party, we will seek a new path together with young candidates from the regions who appealed to maintain their pride, regional chairpersons who are quietly struggling in their areas, and party members from the regions and the field," and said, "The Alternative New Party members will listen to the voices of party members about the Justice Party's future direction and seek answers."
