Naver and Samsung to Attend UK AI Summit with Government Next Month

Naver and Samsung Electronics will attend the Artificial Intelligence (AI) summit held in the UK on July 1-2, together with the government.
Ha Jung-woo, head of the Naver AI Center, stated on Facebook on the 29th, "I will attend representing the Republic of Korea and Naver at the invitation of the UK government," adding, "Only three entities from Korea were invited: the government, Samsung Electronics, and Naver."
From the government side, Lee Jong-ho, Minister of Science and ICT, and from Samsung Electronics, Jeon Kyung-hoon, CTO of the DX (Mobile & Consumer Electronics) division and President of Samsung Research, are confirmed to attend.
Hosted by the UK government, this event gathers senior government officials from the G7 countries (United States, Japan, Germany, United Kingdom, France, Canada, Italy), leading AI companies, and experts to share the risks of AI and discuss countermeasures.
U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris, Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft (MS), Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, and Demis Hassabis, CEO of DeepMind, Alphabet’s (Google’s parent company) AI organization, are also reported to attend.
