Yoo Myung-soon Confirmed for Reappointment as CEO of Korea Citibank... Until 2026
Korea Citibank announced on the 27th that it has confirmed the reappointment of President Yu Myeong-sun at the extraordinary general meeting of shareholders and the board of directors held on the same day. President Yu's term will last until October 27, 2026.
Earlier, the Korea Citibank Executive Candidate Recommendation Committee, which met last month, had recommended President Yu as the sole candidate. The committee cited several reasons for recommending President Yu, including his successful strategic restructuring of the revenue model during his term, strengthening the bank's capabilities by focusing on corporate finance, revitalizing organizational culture, and promoting sustainable management.
The committee also highly evaluated President Yu's emphasis on risk management, his continuous strengthening of internal controls, and his successful prevention of incidents that have recently been frequent in the banking sector.
