Korea Seven Selected as '2023 Excellent Employer for Disabled Employment'
Korea Seven, the operator of convenience store chain Seven Eleven, announced on the 24th that it has been selected as a ‘2023 Excellent Employer for the Employment of Persons with Disabilities,’ jointly chosen by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Korea Employment Agency for Persons with Disabilities.

The Excellent Employer for the Employment of Persons with Disabilities is a system that selects companies and institutions that play a leading role in employing persons with disabilities by fostering an inclusive corporate culture. Korea Seven was recognized for its achievements in areas such as developing new suitable jobs for persons with disabilities, preferential measures related to recruitment, preferential measures related to hiring, and efforts to expand employment of persons with severe disabilities and women with disabilities, leading to its selection as a 2023 Excellent Employer for the Employment of Persons with Disabilities.
Korea Seven is expanding recruitment in office positions by developing suitable jobs for persons with disabilities in collaboration with the Seoul Customized Training Center. Since 2017, it has continuously participated in employment briefings and job fairs for persons with disabilities under the Disability Employment Promotion Agreement, contributing to the expansion and stabilization of employment for persons with disabilities. Additionally, it is making efforts to expand employment of persons with disabilities by extending contract periods for workers with severe disabilities, assigning them to workplaces near their residences, and arranging preferred working hours based on prior surveys.
Moreover, Korea Seven is leading improvements in working conditions and treatment for workers with disabilities in various ways, such as providing assistive technology devices to workers with severe disabilities, conducting non-face-to-face interviews, and holding interviews at the Korea Employment Agency for Persons with Disabilities to implement preferential hiring measures.
