Kia Labor Union Tentatively Approves Collective Bargaining Agreement... 71.5% in Favor
The Kia labor union approved the tentative wage agreement with a 71.5% approval rate in the recent vote.
According to the Kia union on the 20th, 24,362 members participated in the vote, of which 17,410 (71.5%) voted in favor, finalizing the tentative agreement. The signing ceremony will be held on the morning of the 23rd at Kia Autoland Gwangmyeong.
With this, Kia management and labor have reached a wage agreement for the third consecutive year without strikes or disputes.
Previously, both parties agreed to revise the clause prioritizing the hiring of children of long-term employees. Additionally, they agreed to hire 300 new employees to help alleviate youth unemployment.

The wage and performance incentives include a base salary increase of 111,000 KRW (including step increases), a management performance bonus of 300% plus 8 million KRW, a production and sales target achievement bonus of 100%, a special incentive of 2.5 million KRW, traditional market gift certificates worth 250,000 KRW to revitalize the local economy, and the provision of 34 shares of no-cost stock as part of the dispute-free agreement.
