Dong-Eui University Robot and Automation Engineering Student Team Wins Silver at Industrial Robot Challenge
The ‘RECS.J’ team, consisting of Dong-Eui University Robotics and Automation Engineering major third-year students Jang Min-woo, Lee Dong-seop, Park Sang-min, Shin Dae-hee, and Jang Su-hyun, won the silver prize (Korea Robot Industry Promotion Agency President’s Award) and a cash prize of 1.5 million KRW in the ‘Industrial Robot ZERO Mission Challenge,’ a sub-competition of the 9th R-BIZ Challenge.
The competition was held on the 13th at KINTEX in Ilsan and was hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, with the Korea Robot Industry Promotion Agency and Korea Robot Industry Association organizing and supervising the event.
The Industrial Robot ZERO Mission Challenge is a motion technology development and demonstration contest utilizing Zeus’s industrial vertical multi-joint robot ‘ZERO.’ The Dong-Eui University RECS.J team attached ZERO to an Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) and demonstrated an AI-based automatic parcel sorting and delivery robot system, earning them the silver prize.

The R-BIZ Challenge is a mission-type robot competition that discovers business ideas and marketing strategies using robot parts and products. Various competitions were held, including the Space Exploration and Development Robot Challenge, the Baedal Minjok Robot Delivery Challenge, and the Smart Robot & Drone Challenge.
