BHI Discusses Ukraine Reconstruction Cooperation at Warsaw Meeting Attendance
BH I announced on the 18th that it was invited to the 'Ukraine Reconstruction Business Meeting (RUBD)' hosted by the Korea International Trade Association and the Ukraine Chamber of Commerce, and visited Warsaw, Poland. More than 50 businesspeople from both countries, including BH I, discussed practical cooperation plans for reconstruction.
This meeting was held about three months after the Korean government formed an economic delegation in July to discuss cooperation plans for Ukraine's reconstruction in Poland. The Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Infrastructure requested Korean companies to participate in reconstruction in various fields such as infrastructure, energy, and machinery on site.
From Korea, 15 companies including BH I, Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power, POSCO International, Doosan Enerbility, HD Hyundai Construction Equipment, Ssangyong Construction, and LS participated. On the Ukrainian side, major government officials, 14 companies, and the Polish Business Association (ZPP) participated together.
During the previous visit to Poland, BH I signed a comprehensive Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the global energy company GE in the combined cycle power generation (HRSG) sector. HRSG is highly regarded as the most suitable for restoring power infrastructure needed for reconstruction due to its short construction period and high efficiency.
A BH I official said, “This opportunity allowed us to reaffirm the post-war reconstruction will of Korea, Poland, and Ukraine,” and added, “BH I will expand its participation based on a diverse portfolio in the energy infrastructure sector, which is the core of the reconstruction project.”
