Support for Vulnerable Groups by the Chairman of Gwanak-gu Saemaeul Geumgo Association
Gwanak-gu Saemaeul Geumgo Directors' Council Supports Onnuri Gift Certificates Worth 10 Million Won... Expected to Benefit Local Residents, Economy, and Traditional Market Revitalization
Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Jun-hee) is joining forces with the Gwanak-gu Saemaeul Geumgo Chairpersons' Council (Chairman Shin Young-yeol) to provide support for the stable living of vulnerable groups facing economic difficulties.
On the 12th, the Gwanak-gu Saemaeul Geumgo Chairpersons' Council donated 10 million won worth of Onnuri gift certificates to Gwanak-gu.
The donation was made through the Seoul Community Chest of Korea via a designated trust method. The district plans to support neighbors struggling due to the economic downturn and high inflation by distributing Onnuri gift certificates in the future.
This Onnuri gift certificate donation is special in that it will empower not only local residents but also small business owners in the area.
Onnuri gift certificates are issued by the government to revitalize traditional markets and local shopping districts and can be used at markets and local stores. The district hopes that this donation from the Gwanak-gu Saemaeul Geumgo Chairpersons' Council will help ease the economic concerns of residents and small business owners, even if just a little.
Chairman Shin Young-yeol of the Chairpersons' Council said, “I am pleased to be able to help the local community during difficult times. We will continue to fulfill our social responsibilities and roles through ongoing social contribution projects.”
The Gwanak-gu Saemaeul Geumgo Chairpersons' Council has consistently engaged in donation activities for vulnerable groups. In 2020, they donated 10 million won to Gwanak-gu to overcome the COVID-19 crisis, and in 2021, they supported the Gwanak-gu Disabled Persons' Association and the Gwanak-gu Sign Language Interpretation Center with 12 million won.
