Hyundai Motor Group Zero1 Hosts Creative Project Exhibition
ZER01NE, sponsored by Hyundai Motor Group, will hold a project exhibition showcasing creative ideas.
Hyundai Motor Group announced on the 13th that '2023 ZER01NE Day' will be held from the 19th to the 22nd at S Factory located in Seongsu-dong, Seongdong-gu, Seoul.
ZER01NE is a creative space and talent platform established by Hyundai Motor Group in 2018 on Gangnam-daero, Seocho-gu, Seoul, aiming to create an ecosystem for creative talents. For this exhibition, ZER01NE will unveil 24 projects prepared by creators and 2 projects collaborated with employees of Hyundai Motor Group’s Namyang Research Center.
The creator group 'Studio SKLIM,' based in Singapore and India, designed an electric vehicle charging shelter suitable for hot weather. They improved primitive materials widely used in Asia with advanced technology and utilized them as materials for modern architecture. Through this, they completed a future city concept project considering both sustainability and marketability.
Media artist So Boram cultivated plant-based leather using bacteria through the 'Smart Skin Farm.' She built an archive zone where, when human biometric data is input, a code integrated with artificial leather is assigned. This reflects on the sacrifice of beings other than humans while examining the use of biometric data in a historical context.
Creator Moritz Simon Geist produced a sound robot based on machine learning algorithms. This robot interacts with visitors and plays various harmonies. It is evaluated as an attempt to expand human creativity.
Meanwhile, ZER01NE will operate a consultation booth to recruit creators for activities next year. ZER01NE creators can be artists, researchers, engineers, prospective entrepreneurs, and creators from various fields aged 19 or older residing in Korea regardless of nationality. Recruitment is scheduled for December.
Selected ZER01NE creators will receive ▲project funding ▲project advancement through expert matching and participation in domestic and international workshop programs ▲promotion activities and showcase opportunities at home and abroad during the activity period, and will also receive follow-up support after the activities end.
