On the 30th, Shin Yubin defeated Taiwan's Chien Tzu-yu (ranked 48th) 4-1 (6-11 11-9 11-7 11-7 11-3) in the women's singles quarterfinals held at the Gongshu Canal Sports Park Gymnasium in Hangzhou, China, securing a spot on the podium. In Asian Games table tennis, both semifinalists receive bronze medals without a third-place playoff.
